Being a helper

Lessons from a 4 year old, there are many helpers in pre-k.  Snack helpers, paper helpers, station helpers...everyone pitches in.  Somewhere from pre-k to adulthood we forgot the philosophy ingrained in us years ago. Too busy to extend a hand, working with no hands left, scared to reach out, tired hands, and the list goes on and on.  How much energy does it take to listen, to smile, to hold open a door, or acknowledge something positive about someone?  Take the time to do so, pay it forward. Today is the day to pay it forward, you will be surprised when the kindness  is returned to you.  It was fun to come to class and see you were appointed as the "helper", made you feel special.  You are special and have something to give, try it and tie your shoelaces!

Can you guess why I was never picked to be the drink helper?
